PF Details - Employee Provident Fund



Question No.1 : What is the interest on PF Account Currently ?

The member of Employee provident fund balances earn interest as per the rate of Interest declared annually by the government of India. Every year the central government revise the interest rate depends on revenues getting by EPFO in previous Financial year and for the financial year 2012 - 13 rate of Interest on EPF is 8.50 %.

Question No 2:   How to withdrawl EPF Amount Without employeer Signature?
Download the EPF withdrawl form from the Official EPF website and dully fill it up with all your working details and personal details and get the attestation from gazetted officer or Bank manager or Post Master or Notary or Magistrate finally send this details to the regional EPF office. Before that take one set of copies of the documents you send.

Question 3: After sending the withdrawl form to PF regional office in case you did not receive any response from PF what will you do?
You can file complaint with PF Online or you can file Right To Information Act to know the status about the application you sent of your withdrawl.

Question 4 : what is EPF?
Employee Provident Fund is created with the purpose of providing financial security to the elderly pepole. It is help to employee save some of amount save from their salary every month and to be used in an event of retirement.  

Question 5: If employee is not a family pension scheme member and he/she is 56yrs. of age can he/she join family pension ?
Yes, by diverting from her/his PF balance family pension scheme contribution from date if her/his joining or 01-03-71 whichever is later.

Question 6:  If employee is a family pension scheme member and he / she retired after 58 yrs of age on 15-01-94. can she/he join will get pension under the new scheme?
Yes, anyone who has retired by reaching age 58 between 01-04-93 and 15-11-95 may join the scheme by returning the withdrawl benefit also with interest. He will be paid pension with immediate effect from date of exit provided he has rendered 10yrs of eligible service.

PF Claim Forms for the Employees Provident Fund


The Employee Provident fund scheme 1952 Claim forms are for final settlement by member Form 19. For withdrawl in certain case Form 31 and For transfer of old PF account to the new PF account Form 13 and for finnancing LIC policy Form 14. Finally for the final settlement in favour of niominee /beneficiary of a deceased member Form 20.

The Employee Pension scheme 1995 Claim forms  are for getting monthly pension Form 10 D and withdrawl Pf Benefit and the scheme certificate Form 10 c.

The Employee Deposit Linked Insurance scheme 1976 Claim forms are , for claiming insurance benefit by a beneficiary or nominee in case of PF member death while in service Form 51F

To be submitted along with application form31 for purpose of a dwelling site/house/flat or re-construction of dwelling house, or flat or addition/alteration of the dwelling house.

Employee Provident Fund


Employee Provident Fund organization which takes care the Employees provident Scheme in India. The EPFO India is a statutory body under Ministry of Labour and Employment , Government of India. Epfo India has been constructed with a vision to safe guard the rights of employees. 

Earlier , In 1952 Employees provident funds ordinance replaced by the Employees Provident Fund Act and now it is referred as the Employees provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act , 1952 which is extends to the all over India except Jammu and Kashmir. The Employees provident funds bill was introduced in the parliament as bill number 15 ,1952 the act has been amended 15 times. The Act and Schemes framed there under are administered by the central board of trustees , Employees provident fund consisting of representatives of 

a, Government both central and state government representatives
  Secretary , Additional secretary , Joint secretary and financial adviser , Joint secretary/Director (social security ) , joint secretary ( Insurance and pension ) department of Financial services and all state government secretaries. 

b, Employers representatives
       Chairman and Managing director , secretary general ( CIE) , Director General (SCOPE), Employees Federation of India , Assocham , Principal Advisor , Cofederation of Indian industry , Secretary , All India organization of employers federation house , FASII , AIMO  

c, Employees representatives

President , BMS, National Executive member , secretary ,President CITU , Organizing secretary

Guarantee of pensionary benefits
None of the pensionary benefits under the Scheme shall be denied to any member or beneficiary for want of compliance of the requirement by the employer under sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 3 provided, however, that the employer shall not be absolved of his liabilities under the Scheme.

The claims, complete in all respects submitted along with the requisite documents shall be settled and benefit amount paid to the beneficiaries within thirty days from the date of its receipt by the Commissioner. If there is any deficiency in the claim, the same shall be recorded in writing and communicated to the applicant within thirty days from the date of receipt of such application. In case the Commissioner fails without sufficient cause to settle a claim complete in all respects within thirty days, the Commissioner shall be liable for the delay beyond the said period and penal interest at the rate of 12 per cent per annum may be charged on the benefit amount and the same may be deducted from the salary of the Commissioner.
